I started wrestling at around 8 years old at my local youth club. I began to truly fall in love with the sport some years later when I started wrestling at AWA under Max Askren. The AWA system allowed me to see that my growth as a person and competitor was only limited by the effort I put in. This way of thinking allowed me to improve as a wrestler and achieve many of my goals in the sport. After wrestling at the University of Missouri for 4 years I moved out to New York to share this amazing sport with as many people as possible. This sport has given me many invaluable lessons and friendships that I will carry for the rest of my life. I want to continue to share these experiences with young athletes and help them become better people as well as wrestlers.

I didn't grow up wrestling. I didn't step on a mat until 9th grade, and when I started, I wasn't very good. I was small, athletic, and willing to work. What drew me to wrestling was the realization that my success or failure was largely in my own hands. The harder I worked, the more I learned, and the better I became. I fell in love with a sport that gave me the opportunity to control my own destiny.

I believe my late start is one of my greatest advantages as a coach. I remember what it was like to be bad at wrestling. I remember working extremely hard and still falling short. But I also remember what it took to go from good to great.

I've dedicated my life to coaching and have had the opportunity to train with, coach alongside, and learn from some of the best in the world.

I believe in transformational coaching. My greatest passion isn't just helping a kid become a better wrestler. It's helping them grow as a person, using wrestling as the vehicle.
